No other president would be golfing in the middle of a war of choice he started. I think it's a way for his handlers to remain in control and keep Trump away from the cameras and microphones.

To paraphrase Tom Nichols, it could be because the guy they're handling is so base, crude, selfish, and rapacious that he can stand at Arlington with a gold star father, viewing hundreds of acres of gravestones, and ask him, "I don't get it. What was in it for them?"
