@Adrenochrome I hate that #AI has done this to me but I now find myself questioning every “magical” or “perfect” image I see and there’s something very “off” about this image…

@Adrenochrome @BelfastRoadster I'm not assuming it is AI. Just agreeing with the comment that one of the worst things about #genAI is calling all kinds of otherwise cool and awesome things into question in our minds.
                I hate that that's a thing now.

@Adrenochrome i dunno pal, maybe i'm wrong about this person not existing.

but it sure is suspicious you're only replying to me about me questioning this person's existence, and not everyone else calling this AI slop.

but hey, you just dug up someone's name to attach to this, and decided to say they made this AI slop instead, which is even worse! congratulations, hope your internet fun bucks are worth it.

@Adrenochrome@mastodon.social posting AI slop is one thing, but posting it and then attributing to people who don't fucking exist is another. what the fuck is wrong with you?

i genuinely believed in this just because you attributed people, i guess i need to do my due dillegence now to make sure people exist, because chucklefucks like you are willing to lie about it so your AI slop gets 500 internet points.

@Adrenochrome even if this was AI generated, they get points for a very clever idea. I judge AI on the intended message. This was clearly meant to entertain, not misinform.

@Adrenochrome Yeah, no. Kate Weyer *does* post robin images on Facebook, but this is not among her recent posts. Also, she does occasionally post photos by her partner Lee Schofield, but they always include his logo, which is how I know how to spell his name.

As a bit of fun I searched for the photographers name and nothing came up related to this image. Then queried Co-pilot and Gemini if this is AI and both AI agents said it's AI.

Gemini's analysis. Again, may not be accurate but....

Still, a cool artistic image, but sad it's not real.

@Adrenochrome Whether it’s AI or not, the alt text is an outrage.

@MadMike77 Nun kanns jeder Laie in Sekunden statt wenige Profis in Stunden.

Das Problem hat sich massiv vergrössert.

Der Vogel müsste ne Pfütze sein für diesen Effekt. Egal wie generiert, echt scheint mit unwahrscheinlich.

@BelfastRoadster @Adrenochrome why do you think there is something off? I am not trained in this sense

                                          @luckychronic Here’s a shot I took a few years ago of a raindrop hitting a Greenfinch.
There’s just too much water in the Robin shot.
Compare the size of the in-focus drop, the sheer amount of water in the “crown” splash and all the other raindrops in the image.
Also, as others have stated, the bird would most definitely show some reaction to having been hit on the head like that.
                                          It’s 100% an AI construction.
