    Right in the middle of a rainy moment, a tiny bird becomes the star of something truly magical—a perfect water droplet lands on its head, forming a crown-like splash that feels almost unreal. The timing is flawless, capturing a split second where nature turns playful.

    @Adrenochrome

    For a mere sliver of a moment, this bird was crowned royalty and ruled all that they surveyed.

        @Adrenochrome I hate that #AI has done this to me but I now find myself questioning every “magical” or “perfect” image I see and there’s something very “off” about this image…

                @luckychronic @BelfastRoadster @Adrenochrome The depth of field seems inconsistent. A drop of water would form a symmetrical ring if it hit a flat surface, but that’s not the case here. And the large drop above the ring forms when a drop falls into a liquid. When something looks too good to be true, it raises doubts. #AISlop

                      @Adrenochrome The water drop behavior is typical for a water surface but pretty unrealistic under these circumstances. The down on a bird's head could hardly be wet enough to create this effect.

                          As a bit of fun I searched for the photographers name and nothing came up related to this image. Then queried Co-pilot and Gemini if this is AI and both AI agents said it's AI.

                          Gemini's analysis. Again, may not be accurate but....

                          Still, a cool artistic image, but sad it's not real.

                              @pycomtois @luckychronic @BelfastRoadster @Adrenochrome for me it is the general event. A drop that big and that near the eyes would induce an eye lid closing reaction, wouldn't it?

                              But yeah the crown flatness plane seems off as well

                                  @Adrenochrome@mastodon.social Exposure short enough to freeze the drops in the "crown", but long enough to blur the ones on the back?

                                  Looks fake.

                                        Right in the middle of a rainy moment, a tiny bird becomes the star of something truly magical—a perfect water droplet lands on its head, forming a crown-like splash that feels almost unreal. The timing is flawless, capturing a split second where nature turns playful.
                                        The photo was taken by Lee Schofer and posted by his partner, Kate Weyer, on her Facebook.

                                        @Adrenochrome this is AI but if this were a surrealist painting it would sure be magical.
                                        The feet along with the branch, the shadows and light simply don't match, hard to notice if you are not trained that alone is enough to tell.
