watched Suzume (2022) again, this time across three nights. it's a fantastic movie to take your time with and really soak in the road trip vibes. my overall opinion of the movie improved since the last time I watched it. I was able to see deeper into the themes of the story (around ancestors/community and natural disasters particularly) and I really appreciate what Shinkai-sensei accomplished here. and of course, the visual and auditory quality is off the charts. I would probably rank it third in his catalogue behind 5cm and Your Name. very excited to see what the director has to offer next.
