I suppose the aspect of this I am unable to understand is why anyone wants the systematic enablement of human rights abuses committed by sociopaths to persist unstopped.

Of course, I could be wrong, but I would use the word “criminals” instead of “sociopath.” Since I read this book written by a socially contributing, self-claiming “sociopath” woman, I’ve been very careful about using that word these days. Anyway, it’s a well-written and quite entertaining book titled “Sociopath — a memoir” by Patric Gagne, PhD, if anyone is interested.
