@thelinuxEXP @tlenewspodcast these laws in the states apparently violate U.S. federal law because of a law called COPPA. So they maybe easy to get struck down. Hopefully the EU and UK have them stuck down as well.

@tal I mean... Is it? Because we likely wouldn't be there if parents were educated themselves on tech, and passed that down to their kids. That's not to say all parents don't do their job, or even that parents in general are given the tools to handle this. What I'm saying is that we NEED to give them these tools.

@thelinuxEXP what I'm saying is, it *looks* like you're telling parents how to parent. I do agree that parents need to do their job, but that's not the point. Criticizing their parenting makes them really dig in.
Have you ever tried to get a dog owner to control their dog?
