    I guess I am proud of myself? (They are, indeed, fuckweasels, for their complete lack of care for the atmosphere that we all depend on, as well as not caring about Kessler Syndrome, or light pollution, or smashing people on the ground...)

    @sundogplanets not to mention the RF spectrum pollution which affects radio astronomy projects like the SKA and radio spectrum users across the planet.

      Ahhhh, I am (and clearly all of us are) so very proud of you! πŸŽ‰

      This should be 2026's word of the year.

          @scott @sundogplanets

          I'm on our schools #DAPTCO (Departmental Appointments, Promotions and Tenure Committee ) and I would adamantly support your promotion!

          Also this is one of the saddest things I've ever read;

          "The Starlink Mini's in-motion capability meant data punched through the tree cover and canyon walls without issue. My wife streamed music, and the kids watched Netflix on their tablets, completely oblivious to the fact that we were digitally isolated from the rest of the world. It turned a potentially cranky long haul into a peaceful drive."

          So The Fuckweasel Musk (TFM) isolated your family from one another inside your own car and convinced you that that's a good thing? Fucking pathetic. Talk with your kids, point out cool geology, trees, birds whatever. INTERACT WITH THE WORLD!

          Sorry. That article pissed me off a tad.

              @sundogplanets now we can refer to it as an academically respected word. Excellent!

                  @sundogplanets

                  Cursing and name-calling used to be considered childish and uncivilized. Public figures like Elon Musk have made being 'unserious' and uncivilized mainstream.

                  When a professor of astronomy is celebrated for calling Musk dirty names, it’s clear that Musk has already won the culture war. He is in our hearts and minds.
