    I guess I am proud of myself? (They are, indeed, fuckweasels, for their complete lack of care for the atmosphere that we all depend on, as well as not caring about Kessler Syndrome, or light pollution, or smashing people on the ground...)

        A point on the trend line of public consciousness I would be proud of @sundogplanets

        Civility only works when the other party is capable of acting in good faith. It's your (and so many people's) good faith that they depend upon to advance their strategies.

                    @sundogplanets

                    In the fantastic space series "The Expanse"

                    If you fucked with the life support systems, air or water, you would be summarily executed by throwing into space from an airlock.

                    I think we should introduce this to preserve earth life support.

                      @sundogplanets Well, like Groucho Marx in Duck Soup, you could "apologize" for being insensitive: it isn't fair to the rest of the "f***weasels".

                      At least the public has learned that astronomers can be as expressive as everyone else.

                      An astrophysicist at NRAO once told me about being home with the flu as a kid on a Sunday morning. A preacher on the radio said you didn't get credit for just believing but for believing when you had every reason not to. He sat up and shouted "B___S___".

                              @sundogplanets technically, fuckweasels must come from the Weasel region of France. so, they are most likely a cheap imitation, sometimes referred to as a "fuckvarmint" πŸ˜›

                                    I think by now it's officially a technical term for ... fuckweasels.

                                      Well, I have now been quoted calling SpaceX "fuckweasels" in a real publication by real journalists: https://au.pcmag.com/ai/116598/spacex-to-start-small-with-1-million-satellite-plan-pushes-back-on-critics

                                      I guess I am proud of myself? (They are, indeed, fuckweasels, for their complete lack of care for the atmosphere that we all depend on, as well as not caring about Kessler Syndrome, or light pollution, or smashing people on the ground...)

                                        @sundogplanets Thank you, Doctor. It looks really hard, but I'm grateful that you're there leading the fight. Even if our own government is butts-to-nuts full of fuckweasels.
                                        We're working on the tribunals down here, keep working on the stars up there. We love you.
