Where are the Transformers
Earth and Moon from DSCOVR NASA's Earth Polychromatic Imaging Camera (EPIC) aboard the Deep Space Climate Observatory (DSCOVR) satellite captured this unique view of the Moon as it moved in front of the sunlit side of Earth last month. This view shows the fully illuminated “dark side” of the moon that is never visible from Earth.
@GossiTheDog Glad to learn that we get to see the least boring side of the moon in our sky.

I’m waiting for Donald Trump to say he’s going to moonfall the moon into Iran
@GossiTheDog He won't because that would destroy his buddies, the secret Nazi base on the dark side.

@GossiTheDog Just a little technical: this picture is from 2015, and this constellation happens twice per year. I don't want to be the "well actually" guy, but it feels like a lot of people don't realize that seeing the opposite side of the Moon is not that rare.
