@thomasareed Can't speak to the buisness owner experience, but I have learned I cannot rely on Yelp for things like "where is this buisness" and "when should I plan to call or stop by"

@Epic_Null Well, as a consumer, it’s got me wondering whether I can rely on the Yelp reviews, which is just about the only thing on Yelp I ever use. If they’re using AI to filter reviews, that’s hugely problematic.

They also have been repeatedly calling and e-mailing me, telling me I’m missing leads. I’ve told them I don’t have budget at the moment for paid Yelp services, but they just ignore me and continue with the sales pitch.

@thomasareed yes it absolutely is a scam. They extort you to pay for ads so they will show your positive reviews. I regret using them. It is expensive and I saw no return on the investment.

@ridogi Yeah, that seems to match my so-far limited experience. And the biggest scam is that it seems you cannot remove your business from Yelp. I should never have added it!
