If it makes you feel any better, we seem to be on the tail end of the fad, based on availability and price. In a few months Hershey will come out with a Dubai chocolate KitKat and that will be that.

@APBBlue You've a right to be annoyed. It's been hyped for a very long time (>year at least), the boom caused by TikTok (of course).

I tried some made by a good chocolatier (already forgotten who, so not *that* good), and it's tasty when done right.

BUT it seems it's now being used as a fancy name for pistachio in chocolate, no kataifi.

And it's everywhere: gas stations, 99 Ranch has a cheap Chinese one that's gross and tastes like cornflakes, Dollar Tree has waffle cone tips with pistachio.
