@ai6yr San Diego has a decent amount, and there are folks who grow them outside of their natural range. It would be really bad if the grove on Santa Rosa Island gets trashed, but I have no doubt that it would get re-populated.
There are probably some genetic differences between those trees and the ones in San Diego, but the Torrey Pine will still exist.
