    I wonder what the plan was here.

    I noticed a #Biketown bike locked up to the poorly-placed dumb-wave-rack outside the grocery store. Someone had cut all the spokes on the front wheel.

    Were they trying to steal the rim+tire ?

    Or the hub? Did they think the Sturmey-Archer drum brake hub (appx $90) was actually a multi-hundred dollar hub-motor?

    Either way, did they think that they could bypass the security axle nuts? And if so, why cut the spokes at all?

    Simple vandalism?
