I personally tend more to xfce or kde, simply because I think a "traditional" desktop would be better than a tiling WM

@rose@snac.pinkro.se possibly hyprland? Or mangowm (as an alternative to slop niri)?

Your list is very good overall, kudos :3

@rose lxqt is fun because you can totally combine it with any x window manager or wayland compositor you want. iirc the wayland default *is* labwc

@rose i ran it with cwm for a little bit but the monitor configuration thing freaks the fuck out when a monitor disconnects and ive got them set to turn off automatically if they've been in sleep mode for a while

admittedly im thinking about turning that off cause most window managers dislike this and will move all my windows to whichever one i turn back on first. also having my monitors light up when theres movement should force me to power down my desktop more regularly. i just dont enjoy doing that cause i have to bend down under my desk to turn it back on and its annoying

@luna@goof.boo @rose@snac.pinkro.se went all the way back to november amd couldnt find any signs of claude commits . afaik everyone involved with niri does not like llms , a loose policy doesnt necessarily imply "slop"

@rose @BasiqueEvangelist i think it should be lightweight and not rely on odd keybinds
