      Not plugging a company, but giving my honest experience with Crumpler.

      I've owned a Crumpler Mild Enthusiast for about 13 years, it's been through thick and thin, held multiple different cameras, lenses, gaming consoles, etc. I've loved it to death. The seams were starting to fail, and finally, the zipper started to fail a few weeks ago.

      I knew it was terminal, but just ignored it until I had "time". Well, it made time, the zipper broke at Pride Party. Luckily it wasn't while I was out, just at a regular home pit stop.

      I took it in to the "bag spa" they have in town, it used to be just down on Gertrude, but they moved.

      The girl immediately said "yeh, we can fix all that, and it'll be under warranty".

      Lesson, get a well made bag from a company that respects its customers and you'll never need another

      @sortius We love our Crumplers. Not just well made, but locally made and mostly made from recycled junk.

        @joannaholman hmm, ok, I'll look through, although I have a DSLR and no laptop (I use a ROG Ally instead), but a bag for the interim would be nice

              @joannaholman oh, that's why they're cheap. No warranty ☹️

                @ghost_shit guarantee if the zipper or stitching fails, they will fix it, for free

                  @joannaholman oh, there's no gamble, it'll last a long time, but, yeh, you lose half the point of getting a Crumpler; the warranty πŸ˜†

                    @joannaholman yeh, look, I know people give them shit as being hipster bags, but they're not overly pricey, well wearing (13 years of serious abuse here), and the warranty is good for as long as the company exists

                    @sortius @joannaholman

                    I had one a decade ago. Liked it, but it was itself approximately as heavy as all my daily photography gear.

                      @mattdm @joannaholman and that's why they need to bring back the Mild Enthusiast. It's padded, not heavy, and I can comfortably fit my DLSR with 35mm lens on, a 200mm lens, glasses, phone, etc.

                      Every time I email them they say "get more people to email us about it"
