Honestly: I went from Samsung Folding Phone to iPhone, but consider myself agnostic to most tech. I really don’t like any gadgets at all.
But when it comes to GrapheneOS: it is nerdy, for sure, but why aren’t all phones like this? Actually, after a long time, this phone feels like a plain device again, not an attention grabbing, brain manipulating habit forming cursed artifact.
There’s a lot to like there for regular users, not just tinfoil hats!

@AwetTesfaiesus what device are you using for it? I've been considering it too but I'm unsure which Pixel version to pick

@AwetTesfaiesus that is what nags me about my samsung phone the most: not being in charge.
Too bad you have nothing to do with digitalisation - would be nice to have some nerd there

It is now our job to bring it out of the nerdy corner.
Let us ask all who want to make any kind of business with us for privacy respecting apps which are not hosted in a billionaires backyard.

@AwetTesfaiesus grapheneos is in the end an android fork. What I don't like about this is that android Google, but also windows Microsoft and iOS Apple can increase their hardware specs or slow down things because they want to force people to buy a new phone or computer. Yes android branches I can bring life to old phones like eos can bring an Samsung Galaxy S5 from Android 6 to Android 12 but it will not make the jump to 15. But Linux I can put on phone/computer it runs. 500mb ram are okay.
