I'm already kind of an open book but sure, why the heckie not? Some answers will probably be more obvious than others

1. Do you have any nicknames?
I sure do! "Owa" is the most common but I have also been called (off the top of my head) Owashiington, Owashiing machine, Washy, Wishywashy, and Owawawa.

2. What is a compliment you've never forgotten?
Way back before the gender epiphany, a co-worker at a retail store told me I was a good man. I said "I try" and he said very matter-of-factly "You do."

3. Is there something you want to tell someone, but won't?
Yes, but it's a matter of "something an anonymous someone said got to me and I want them to know my feelings about it."
I have no way to contact them even if I felt it would accomplish anything, which I know it won't.

4. Do you believe in soulmates?
Yes, I found mine in early 2020 and married him in 2021

That said: I don't believe there is necessarily a "one true love" for everyone, just that there are partners who are ideal for each other in terms of compatibility. And sometimes there are people who just aren't into relationships at all, which is fine.

6. What was your first job?
First paid-to-do-a-task thing was mowing the lawn as a teenager, but first hired-by-a-company role was working as a contract data analyst for Amazon regarding the Echo (which was called Project Knight at the time). Basically, my role was to transcribe audio and check the transcriptions that others had done for accuracy. I lasted about six months before I couldn't stand hearing the children of beta testers constantly screaming into the microphone anymore.

@owashe@meow.social omg how i would've loved to have been a fly on the wall hearing you go through those recordings
reminds me of when you brought that up when i posted about youtube's community captions. both great ideas in theory, each with their own pitfalls in practice -

But there were some gems, like the time a gentleman with a very heavy Chinese accent said "set a reminder to buy a birthday card" but whoever did the initial transcription didn't understand the pronunciation differences (I don't think there's a "th" in Chinese so it came out as "s") wrote down "set a reminder to buy a prostate pop"

8. What is one of your most treasured memories?
When I met my husband (then boyfriend) in person for the first time. He drove like 600 miles to where I live, went to a motel, he opened the door and I clung to him and was like "Holy shit you're actually here I can't believe you're here!" Then I spent the next several nights with him.

10. Someone gave you $100, what are you spending it on?
In the past I probably would have immediately spent it on a video game or something, but now I'd most likely save it for a rainy day.

11. What makes you feel appreciated?
When my husband decides to fuss over me, and when others take the time to reach out to me when I'm having a rough go of things.
Also (technically speaking for a headmate here, plural system whee) when we write a story and it gets positive comments. Always a nice feeling :3
