    I lost a lot of respect for Dion due to reading this. Is he really that dense? The Americans elected Trump twice, the Republican Party is wholly corrupt, and Dion thinks all will be back to normal soon enough.

    "One must be wary of short-term perspectives that currently make us look at Brussels as so much more attractive than Washington. In three years, there will probably be a White House tenant as friendly to Canada as Donald Trump’s predecessors have been."

      @elasticsoul

      Quite the contrary, only a quick perusal of the article and he brings up some really big points.

      But note, not being a member of the EU proper does not exclude:

      - Being part of the ECP
      - Being a party to the Schengen Agreement, enabling passport free travel with the EU
      - And much other political and economic cooperation with the EU
