@Nonilex That picture -- is that the design Trump's toadies came up with?! He looks like a psychopath. You'd think his toadies would be motivated to make him look better.

@obot50549535 @Nonilex That's his mugshot where he thinks he looks so tough. Gross.

@Nonilex that picture? Setting aside the whole "dead presidents only" on currency thing, that's the picture they want to go with?

While no #law prohibits printing bills with Trump’s signature, #US #currency experts say that producing a $250 note featuring the president‘s image would run afoul of current laws. One states only a “deceased individual” may be depicted on US currency. Another specifies which denominations the bureau may produce.

Larry R. Felix, a former director of the bureau, said “a $250 note is not statutorily authorized” without an act of #Congress.

@Nonilex Allocations of funds, going to war — also constitionally Congress’s prerogative. In both cases, SCOTUS-anointed God Emperor Krasnov’s flaunted that. A picture on a piece of paper doesn’t exactly seem the bigger excess of authority, methinks.

@Nonilex since he will probably not wait to become a "deceased individual", I think I know what will happen!

He will ask FIFA to edit a version of the monopoly game where banknotes have a portrait of him 🙃

Starting last year, 2 political appointees at the #Treasury Dept— US Treasurer Brandon Beach & his snr adviser, Mike Brown — repeatedly urged staff at the agency’s Bureau of Engraving & Printing to prepare prototypes of the note, acc/to the employees, who said the move raised concerns because #federal #law currently allows only deceased people to appear on bills.
