    "Palantir CEO Alex Karp thinks his AI technology will lessen the power of “highly educated, often female voters, who vote mostly Democrat” while increasing the power of working-class men.

    “This technology disrupts humanities-trained—largely Democratic—voters, and makes their economic power less. And increases the economic power of vocationally trained, working-class, often male, working-class voters....”

      @sonjdol
      Don't worry guys. An illiterate white man baby who uses AI to pretend to have skills is still an illiterate white man baby. He's merely poorer for the fees he paid the AI company to misrepresent himself.

      Disclaimer: i am a white man baby, but i am not illiterate.

          @sonjdol as a non USian I think it's interesting that this article defines Democrats as an academic elite party and Republicans as working class party. and no one objects to that definition here. guess that's just how it is now, eh.

            @sonjdol

            Nobody is increasing the power of anyone 'working class'.

            The only target is to make the rich even richer while keeping the 'working class' in their little boxes.

                    @sonjdol I would be surprised only hearing sensible words coming from these persons. You don't expect to find nice smell and clean things in a sewage, when it's operating.

                          @kolya @sonjdol Yes, & it is wrong. The CEO of Palantir has a B.A. in philosophy from an elite college, as well as a J.D. & PhD in philosophy! And those workers in the U.S. who struggle for unionization & a living wage are hardly his (& our current government's) audience. We have a bad habit of reducing everything to a battle of the sexes, education, etc., & it's an important discussion to have for our country. But capitalists exploit those divisions to advance capital (at the workers' expense).

                            @Spirit @helvick @sonjdol Yes it's a very hubristic bet as sharp sticks do not require oil, electricity, chips, or fertilizer to operate. They are however summoned by mass hunger.
