I like ZigBee for Home-Automation Hardware from many different manufacturers, all compatible with each other. - Philips- Ikea- Sonoff- XiaomiNo proprietary bridges, no cloud, no vendor lock-in. Just some free and open source software (Zigbee2MQTT / Home Assistant) and a tiny USB dongle (ConBee II) as a network coordinator. All meshing nicely and every grid-powered device effectively extends my network's range by relaying datagrams.#zigbee #homeassistant #zigbee2mqtt #smarthome #opensource

Well here's a new problem with my #HomeAutomation I've not had before... One of my #ZigBee plugs (which is a relay for half a dozen other devices) appears to have crashed - it's refusing to talk to the controller, and all the things that were relaying through it are appearing offline. Unfortunately, it's the plug that runs my main Nas, and as the replacement UPS for that hasn't arrived yet, I can't power cycle the plug without taking my whole network down, which is more than just a tad vexing.

#NXP s i.MX W93 seems to be quite nice toy. It is ARM MPU with 2xA55 @1.7GHz plus 1x CM33 @450MHzIt has integrated 2.4GHz radio capable of #wifi6 #BT LE5.4 and 15.4 stuff (#zigbee / #thread)Major drawback is it needs external DRAM so someone ( @olimex ? ) needs to create modules... BTW why is no one adding some minimal amount of dram into MPUs package?
