@Vivaldi if you want to try a WWDC-style keynote some time, be super cool and challenge yourself to do so without using any of the BS/superfluous qualitative adjectives and superlatives that makeup like (half at least???) of the words in a given Apple presentation transcript.(a purely-informative WWDC keynote would literally be like 90 seconds I swear lol)

The #audioDescription on the #WWDC keynote implied that the new #AirPods EQ will only be three-band. Welcome nevertheless but if this is accurate, talk about doing the bare minimum. #WWDC26

Watching the keynote now that I’m back at home. I think there’s a lot of good advances if you’re into that sort of thing, but I think what a lot of people haven’t commented on yet is the Siri lag. Apple knows it too: the presenters always describe what Siri is doing as Siri is thinking as a way to mask the fact that it looks like Siri AI, if it works as directed, is gonna be pretty laggy out of the box relative to other competitor chatbots.(Complete layperson’s opinion) #wwdc

2026 is the year of me saying goodbye to #Apple. I got my first iPhone in 2010 and my first book pro in 2011, and every time I tried something different, I went back to iOS and macOS. After #WWDC I am super disappointed by how much AI is taking over something as vital for my life as my phone. I already disabled Apple Intelligence as the old and dumb Siri is more useful and responsive. Let's see how it goes, so far I will not upgrade to the new #iOS27 or disable every LLM/AI feature.

So... Let me get this straight.Apple implements a copy of Microsoft's terrible, awful, no good "Recall" feature that caused massive global backlash . And they're being praised?Giving AI access to read everything on your screen undermines years of work that privacy-respecting apps have done to protect their users. It removes the long-standing blood-brain barrier between the OS and apps, replacing it with a siphon funneling everything into AI.#wwdc #wwdc26 #privacy #opensource #grapheneos
