The UK had a world beating organ transplant service (in the NHS) but now due to staffing problems & old(er) technologies it lags other European counties on the number of transplants successfully achieved & the subsequent survival rate.Even though we 'harvest' organs at a rate in line with other counties we use a lower proportion for actual transplants.Its just one more fatal consequence of the Tory engineered (but continuing) NHS crisis.#NHS #transplants #politics https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/clyrj8rz6jno
