This is a long shot but I wonder if anyone can help with the name or author of a children's story? It's from a long time ago and the story is about a girl who has long dark hair. She covers the land with it (her hair) causing nighttime to fall. I don't recall how it ends. If anyone has an idea of which story this is, or which it might possibly be, I'd really appreciate knowing.
