@ami_angelwings@urusai.social here's maybe an oddball answer: ace combat developers on a need for speed game (without EA interfering at all, of course)aside from knowing that the driving physics would be intensely, viscerally satisfying, and the soundtrack would be unbelievably good, the main reason I want to see this is to see what kind of ridiculous over-the-top but still great storyline they could come up with. a lot of need for speed games had storylines, all the old ones were super cheesy (but still fun) and all the new ones are just bad, and I think it's pretty unfair that the general consensus has become that racing games can't have good stories mostly due to need for speedbut also:yūji iwahara original manga in the metroid universehitoshi ashinano original manga in the solarpunk genremade in abyss video game made by vanillaware
