@blogdiva In a college religion class, a speaker of Amharic and Hebrew noted that his version of Genesis had humans “made stewards of the land.” The translation in the Kings James draft giving humans “dominion over the land” is a translation choice at the root of all of this. 35 years later, I still recall this conversation.
