So I saw these plushies in a toy bin at IKEA and, uh, maybe got carried away. It’s typical of my mood these days that I would see this and immediately leap to “endangered species comforting each other in the climate apocalypse” and then to “Sam and Frodo consoling each other as Mordor burns around them.” I don’t know if any giant eagles will save them — or us — but I had to have a laugh with this, even while crying about the world.Be kind to each other, here at the end of all things.
