@kkarhan Sounds like a mandatory tracking system. Cellular modems and phones ping near by towers when they detect a new tower. This is for faster routing of calls to the phone. It also leaves a series of breadcrumbs for where you have traveled. This would all be handled on the cellular modem card. In fact it is handled by the cellular interface processor.Smart filtering could allow data transmission for accident reporting if there is a sudden physical jolt.
