@timixretroplays I'm currently leaning towards carrying a raidz2 copy of my home backup in my backpack, as that would technically count as offsite. Seems slightly safer compared to VPS provider error/hw failure, and I/O will never suck.
@CleoQc not just Microsoft and OneDrive. I learned long ago that sync services (Dropbox, etc) are incompatible with git repositories. Keep that shit on your own non-syncing drive, and use an alternative backup plan.
It still impresses me that now, Dropbox had the problem solved 15 years ago – albeit with wonky security – yet Microsoft haven't in 19 years; they launched OneDrive just months after Dropbox was founded.
