"La nave ha subito gravi danni: a bordo si sentono forti rumori, si segnalano emissioni di gas, la nave si sta inclinando più rapidamente e sono stati avvistati incendi localizzati", ha dichiarato in un comunicato la portavoce del ministero degli Esteri russo, Maria Zakharova. La Arctic Metagaz, lunga 277 metri, ha a bordo 700 tonnellate di carburante e dal 3 marzo, quando fu raggiunta da droni ucraini, è alla deriva senza equipaggio. "Al momento dell'abbandono della nave, nelle sue cisterne erano ancora presenti carburante - 450 tonnellate di combustibile pesante e 250 tonnellate di gasolio - oltre a una quantità significativa di gas naturale", ha aggiunto la funzionaria.Della petroliera ne ha parlato anche il sottosegretario alla presidenza del Consiglio, Alfredo Mantovano, ai microfoni di Radio 24: "I rischi sono enormi, ci si trova di fronte a una bomba ambientale.
