CIRCLE WITH A DOT

We're having extreme sunshine here in #leicestershire .The thermometer in our bathroom - on the sunny side of the house - is showing 23.5°c with the windows wide open. I've fallen asleep in the garden, in the sun, and woken up feeling distinctly yuk! Falling asleep was the result of a small amount of physical exercise and a decent lunch. It's jolly nice to have such lovely weather - heaven knows we deserve it after the winter we've had - but surely this is just plain wrong for March in Englandshire. #Today

I was forced* to going out for a bike ride. I was coerced* into riding to a new (to me) coffee & cake place in Ratby.It was a lovely sunny day on the outer edges of Leicester, a bit cool to start with.There were hills. These hills are much steeper than they used to be. Although it was only 16km, it's further than I've ridden in one go in almost 18 months, which is a terrible thing to admit to. (I'm happy that my average speed today was the same today as on that last equivalent ride, despite the hills).*The cat made me do it#cycliing #biketooter #leicestershire

Back home from the allotment. We have daffodils (well it is St David's Day) and parsnips. Several jobs done. Saw a robin and a running black cat There were four magpies waiting for us when we got home.Cool but not unpleasant. #allotment #leicestershire
