'fwupd' on Linux succeeded, where Lenovo System Update on Windows failedThe firmware updates took fine from Linux. Not sure why it was crashing on Windows. After updating from Linux live USB, I rebooted to Windows and checked again with Lenovo System Update. All firmware updates had been applied. #Lenovo #ThinkPad #L14 #Linux #fwupdRT: https://social.retroedge.tech/objects/d6af8e27-facd-4816-9401-1aca95e6e627

I am getting a few ThinkPad L14 Gen 1 laptops ready with Windows 11. The first laptop took a while, but updated fine. I did all updates with Snappy Driver Installer, Windows Update and Lenovo System Update. Had to manually remove the touchpad driver and load that again. On the second laptop, the BIOS update will not apply with Lenovo System Update. It crashes Windows and restarts. I am going to test the memory. If that checks out fine, I will try to update the BIOS with 'fwupd' in Linux. #ThinkPad #L14 #fwupd
