yahoo news | ...Photo Does NOT Show Hillary Clinton Pulling Jeffrey Epstein's Tie In Front Of...Fact‑checkers have confirmed that the viral image claiming to show Hillary Clinton pulling Jeffrey Epstein’s tie in front of Bill Clinton is not a genuine photograph. An AI‑image detection tool identified the picture as 99.8 % likely to be AI‑generated, and a separate SynthID analysis detected a watermark indicating the image was created or edited with Google’s AI tools. The claim originated in a Facebook post by the group Common Sense on February 27, 2026, which paired the fabricated picture with the slogan “I never met Jeffrey Epstein” and a depiction of Hillary Clinton under oath. In her actual closed‑door testimony before the House Oversight Committee on February 26, 2026, Clinton stated she had never met Epstein, never flown on his plane, and had no knowledge of his criminal activities.Lead Stories ran the image through Google’s Gemini AI assistant, which concluded the picture appears to be AI‑generated, and the Hive Moderation AI‑Generated Content Detection tool reached the same 99.8 % likelihood result. Both analyses confirm the picture was fabricated, underscoring that the purported “photo” is a product of artificial‑intelligence manipulation rather than an authentic snapshot.Read more: https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/fact-check-photo-does-not-214606743.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall#hillaryclinton #jeffreyepstein #houseoversightcommittee

yahoo news | The boys’ club: How Epstein’s influence shaped the exclusion of women in STEMThe 2018 planning emails for an elite scientific retreat in Connecticut reveal how Jeffrey Epstein used his money and connections to shape a “boys’ club” that systematically excluded women. When New York literary agent John Brockman suggested adding two women to the guest list, Epstein replied, “The women are all weak, and a distraction,” and later wrote that there were “no really smart women – none.” The exchange, released by the Justice Department, shows Epstein’s deep entanglement with top researchers despite his 2008 conviction, and how his influence helped fund male‑dominated labs, book deals, and Silicon‑Valley networks while keeping women out of the same circles. The emails also contain a string of overtly misogynistic remarks from respected scientists. AI theorist Roger Schank dismissed women’s focus on appearance, Epstein echoed the sentiment, and former Harvard president Larry Summers joked that “half the IQ in the world was possessed by women.” Women scientists such as Nicole Baran, Lauren Aulet, and Alison Twelvetrees describe how these attitudes translate into concrete barriers: invisible networks, fewer invitations to conferences, reduced access to recommendation letters, and a tenure system that favors men who are already well‑connected. The dehumanizing language—referring to a promising undergraduate as a “very good‑looking blonde,” or implying a mentoring relationship was a pretext for sexual advance—underscores how sexism is woven into the professional fabric of elite academia. The revelations demonstrate that explicit misogyny, not just “micro‑aggressions,” still drives the exclusion of women from high‑level STEM spaces. They also connect past patterns to present controversies, such as Elon Musk’s AI tool that generates sexualized images of women, highlighting a broader culture that tolerates or ignores gendered harm. As women in science reflect on the impact of these attitudes, they question whether their ideas will ever be taken seriously and grapple with the difficulty of separating valuable research from the tainted behavior of its creators. The story forces the scientific community to confront a deeply corrupted system that, through funding, networking, and entrenched bias, continues to marginalize women.Read more: https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/boys-rsquo-club-epstein-rsquo-183025494.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall#jeffreyepstein #johnbrockman

The New Republic | Democrats Hunt Down Epstein Investigators and Missing Hard Drives by Edith OlmstedDemocrats on the House Oversight Committee are looking for more answers about missing materials from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate. In a series of letters Thursday, Democrats on the committee sought testimony from three private investigators who removed a trove of materials from the alleged sex trafficker’s mansion in Palm Beach, including several hard drives.A memo from one private investigator, William Riley, to Epstein’s criminal attorney Roy Black detailed the list of “items of potential evidentiary value” that had been removed just 11 days before law enforcement raided Epstein’s home in 2005. That list included three desktop computers, dozens of telephone directories, photographs of naked women, sex toys, and pornography.Read more: https://newrepublic.com/post/208290/house-oversight-democrats-epstein-private-investigators-missing-hard-drives#departmentofjustice #fbi #jeffreyepstein #politics #houseoversightcommittee

yahoo news | Epstein survivors sue government, Google over release of personal infoA group of Jeffrey Epstein survivors has filed a class‑action lawsuit in federal court in California accusing the Trump administration and Google of illegally disclosing their personal information. The suit alleges that the Justice Department’s release of more than three million pages of “Epstein Files” – mandated by the 2023 Epstein Files Transparency Act – included unredacted names, phone numbers, birthdates and photos of nearly 100 victims. Although the department later removed the most sensitive files, the plaintiffs claim Google and other online platforms republished the data and ignored repeated removal requests, exposing them to continued harassment, threats and renewed trauma.According to the complaint, the Justice Department initially posted the records in late 2025 and early 2026, revealing videos, court documents, FBI files, emails, text messages and news clippings that also mentioned high‑profile figures such as former President Donald Trump, former President Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew, Elon Musk and Bill Gates. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said the department reviewed roughly six million pages and released about half, withholding material that contained survivors’ identifying details. The survivors argue that the government’s “release‑now, retract‑later” approach prioritized speed over victim safety and made the unlawful disclosure of personal data inevitable. The plaintiffs are seeking at least $1,000 per class member from the government and an unspecified amount of damages from Google. They contend that, despite the Justice Department’s acknowledgment that unredacted documents remain publicly accessible on sites hosted by Google, the government has taken no action to compel their removal. The lawsuit highlights the ongoing harm caused to Epstein’s victims by the continued availability of their private information online.Read more: https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/epstein-survivors-sue-government-google-140222287.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall#jeffreyepstein #epsteinsurvivors #google #justicedepartment #epsteinfilestransparencyact

Jezebel | Prison Guards Were Googling Jeffrey Epstein Just Before He Was Found Dead, Files Say by Jim VorelFinancier, pedophile and human trafficker Jeffrey Epstein died in New York City’s Metropolitan Correctional Center on Aug. 10, 2019, and despite more than six years passing since that date, most of the pertinent questions and enduring mysteries of how the man–who once wrote to a friend that his lifelong peer President Donald Trump loved “young, nubile girls”–really died have remained unanswered. Even in the wake of the release of millions upon millions of additional files from the Department of Justice, all of which the Trump administration has fought tooth and nail to avoid releasing, each new piece of information only seems to raise more questions. When it comes to the actual circumstances of Epstein’s death, however, members of Congress are hoping to soon obtain more details via testimony from a source that is a long time coming: The prison guards who were tasked with watching over Epstein’s cell that night. You know, the same guards that documents included in the released files say were apparently running Google searches on Epstein less than an hour before he was discovered dead in his cell, via what the FBI still insists was a suicide by hanging. The Epstein-Googling guard in question, a woman named Tova Noel, has been a source of intense speculation related to the case for years. She is now expected to testify before the House Oversight Committee; an interview that was supposed to happen today but has been postponed “due to scheduling issues.” She’s an Army veteran, and began working in the Special Housing Unit (SHU) of the prison at the beginning of July, 2019, the exact same week that Epstein was arrested for the second time on federal sex-trafficking charges and moved there. Along with fellow guard Michael Thomas, Noel was one of two guards who according to policy were meant to be checking on Epstein every 30 minutes. That seemingly did not happen, but it’s largely impossible to say what did happen thanks to a lack of functional cameras scattered throughout the facility, including the cameras near Epstein’s cell in the SHU. These camera issues were already known to the facility according to a 2023 DOJ report, and the entire Metropolitan Correctional Center announced in 2021 that it would be “temporarily” closing to address issues of degrading security and infrastructure. It has never reopened in the five years since. The House committee that is investigating the case into Jeffrey Epstein is calling for the testimony of Tova Noel, the prison guard who was working the night of his death. Noel has said she believes she is the last person to have seen Jeffrey Epstein alive. #PINKSRead more: https://www.jezebel.com/epstein-death-files-prison-guards-tova-noel-googling-suspicious-deposits-bribes-testimony-congress#jeffreyepstein #tovanoel #houseoversightcommittee #fbi #metropolitancorrectionalcenter

qwant news | Prison Guards Were Googling Jeffrey Epstein Just Before He Was Found Dead, Files SayFinancier, pedophile and convicted sex‑trafficker Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center on August 10, 2019. Six years later, newly released Department of Justice files show that the two guards assigned to his Special Housing Unit – Tova Noel and Michael Thomas – were supposed to check on Epstein every thirty minutes, but the logs indicate an eight‑hour gap with no documented checks. Both guards were later charged with falsifying those logs, pleaded guilty, and received no jail time in exchange for cooperating with an Inspector General review. The files also reveal that, less than an hour before Epstein was discovered hanging, Noel’s computer recorded a Google search for “latest on Epstein in jail,” sandwiched between unrelated queries about furniture and law‑enforcement discounts. When questioned in a 2021 interview, Noel flatly denied making that search. The released documents further expose suspicious financial activity tied to Noel. JP Morgan Chase filed a Suspicious Activity Report with the FBI in November 2019 after detecting twelve cash deposits she made between April 2018 and July 2019, the largest being $5,000 on July 30, 2019—just two weeks before Epstein’s death. Noel was never asked about these deposits during her 2021 interview, and investigators have not publicly pursued the matter. In addition, the files note that Epstein possessed extra clothing and linens in his cell—items normally prohibited for inmates on suicide watch—raising questions about how they got there, since Noel claimed she didn’t supply them.Congressional investigators are now pressing the House Oversight Committee to summon Noel for testimony, hoping her answers will clarify the unanswered details surrounding Epstein’s final hours. The committee’s focus includes the Google search, the unexplained cash deposits, and the “moving orange flash” video captured that night, as well as broader security failures at the MDC, such as malfunctioning cameras and a half‑closed prison that has remained shuttered since 2021. While the new evidence fuels further speculation and conspiracy theories, it also provides a concrete avenue for lawmakers to seek a clearer account of how a man with vast wealth and powerful connections died behind bars.Read more: https://www.jezebel.com/epstein-death-files-prison-guards-tova-noel-googling-suspicious-deposits-bribes-testimony-congress#jeffreyepstein #metropolitancorrectionalcenter #departmentofjustice #fbi #houseoversightcommittee

bing news | Jmail creators release Jeffrey Epstein’s calendar as JCalThe Jmail team, known for their viral Gmail clone that recreated Jeffrey Epstein’s email inbox, has launched a new tool called **JCal**. This Google Calendar replica fills the interface with events that likely comprised Epstein’s schedule, drawing from the documents released in the Epstein Files. The calendar spans roughly twenty years and aims to give a visual sense of how a highly connected individual organized his time.JCal mirrors the look and functionality of Google Calendar: clicking an event reveals additional details, each accompanied by a note crafted by the Jmail developers to provide context from the source emails, and a link to the original Epstein‑Files correspondence. The entries mix high‑profile meetings with mundane appointments—such as haircuts—highlighting the blend of notoriety and everyday routine in Epstein’s life. The team plans to expand the listings by incorporating data from other archives, like his released text‑message records, and is working on a search feature for easier navigation. The project fits within a broader “Jmail suite” of replicas that includes **JeffTube** (a YouTube clone featuring around 140 videos from the files), **JPhotos** (a gallery of all released photographs), and **JDrive** (a collection of documents). Developed by digital creator Riley Walz and programmer Luke Igel, with contributions from software developer Matheus Mendes, these tools collectively reinterpret Epstein’s digital footprint, leveraging the ongoing release of the Epstein Files during President Donald Trump’s second term.Read more: https://mashable.com/article/jmail-creators-release-jeffrey-epstein-calendar-jcal#jmail #jeffreyepstein #jcal #googlecalendar #epsteinfiles

yahoo news | Prison Guards Were Googling Jeffrey Epstein Just Before He Was Found Dead, Files...Financier and convicted sex‑trafficker Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide in the Metropolitan Correctional Center on August 10, 2019, but a trove of newly released Department of Justice files has kept the case in the spotlight. Among the most unsettling details are the computer logs of two prison guards who were supposed to check on Epstein every 30 minutes in the Special Housing Unit. The logs show that one guard, Tova Noel, ran a Google search for “latest on Epstein in jail” less than an hour before he was found hanging, a query that she later denied making.Noel, an Army veteran who began working at MCC in July 2019, and fellow guard Michael Thomas were later charged with falsifying records that claimed they had performed the required checks. Both pleaded guilty but avoided jail time in exchange for cooperating with a Justice Department inspector‑general review. In addition to the dubious search, the files reveal that Noel’s bank filed a Suspicious Activity Report after detecting twelve cash deposits—including a $5,000 deposit on July 30, 2019—just weeks before Epstein’s death. Neither the deposit nor the SAR was questioned during her 2021 interview, and lawmakers are now pressing the House Oversight Committee to have Noel testify about these anomalies. The combination of missing camera footage, the extra linens found in Epstein’s cell, and the guards’ falsified logs has fueled endless conspiracy theories, but the new congressional hearing could finally provide a factual account of the final hours. As investigators sift through the revelations, many hope that Noel’s testimony will clarify whether negligence, misconduct, or something more sinister contributed to Epstein’s death, even as each answer seems poised to generate fresh questions.Read more: https://www.jezebel.com/epstein-death-files-prison-guards-tova-noel-googling-suspicious-deposits-bribes-testimony-congress#jeffreyepstein #metropolitancorrectionalcenter #departmentofjustice #tovanoel #congressionalhearing

yahoo news | He bankrolled Jeffrey Epstein. A building on Dartmouth’s campus still bears his nameAfter billionaire Leon Black and his family pledged $48 million for an arts center, Dartmouth College named the Black Family Visual Arts Center in their honor in 2012. Recent documents released by the U.S. Department of Justice have reignited calls to rename the building, revealing that Black paid Epstein $170 million over six years—payments the New York Times reported were used to fund Epstein’s lavish lifestyle and to enlist him as a “fixer” for personal matters, including the concealment of payments to women and the intimidation of potential accusers. The investigation details how Epstein suggested ways to obscure the money Black gave to women, brainstormed tax‑avoidance schemes, and even helped arrange introductions to women, three of whom later accused Black of rape or sexual assault—claims he denies. Black’s attorneys have dismissed the reporting as a “vicious and specious campaign.” In 2021, amid growing scrutiny, Black stepped down as CEO and chairman of Apollo Global Management. Lawmakers such as Rep. Ro Khanna have urged Dartmouth to remove Black’s name from the center, calling the continued honor “appalling.”Dartmouth officials say they are evaluating the allegations seriously and note the college currently has no financial ties to Black. Records show Black, a 1973 Dartmouth graduate and former trustee, pledged millions to the school—including $500,000 to the College Fund, $1.6 million to a professorship, and $6.8 million in 2014 for various programs. While Black has not been criminally charged, three civil suits alleging abuse are pending—one dismissed, another withdrawn, and a third still active. The college has not announced any decision on renaming the arts center.Read more: https://www.bostonglobe.com/2026/03/26/metro/nh-leon-black-epstein-dartmouth/#jeffreyepstein #leonblack #dartmouthcollege #blackfamilyvisualartscenter #apolloglobalmanagement

qwant news | Epstein survivor who voted for Trump says she now fears ’we’re not going to get justice’Jena‑Lisa Jones, an Epstein survivor who was abused at age 14, held a photo of her younger self at a news conference outside the US Capitol on 18 November 2025. After casting her vote for Donald Trump in the 2024 election, she explained that she supported him because he promised to release the long‑sought Jeffrey Epstein files, a promise that gave her and many other survivors hope for a “day in court.” In a recent interview on the Shadow Sessions podcast, Jones reiterated that her vote was driven by the expectation of transparency and accountability for the crimes tied to Epstein’s network.\n\nSince Trump’s inauguration, Jones says the promised release of the files never materialised and the administration later dismissed further disclosures as a “Democratic hoax.” The Justice Department has since refused to release additional records, prompting Jones to fear that “we’re not going to get justice in all of this.” She described the backlash survivors face—death threats, hostile commentary—and stressed that each story she shares and every young girl who reaches out reinforces her resolve to keep speaking out, even without seeing her own FBI interview files among the limited disclosures.\n\nIn November, Jones and other survivors gathered outside the Capitol to urge lawmakers to pass legislation demanding the DOJ release all Epstein‑related records. Trump eventually signed the bill into law on 19 November, and the DOJ has since published several batches of documents, including about three million records in January. However, survivors claim crucial files—especially those documenting their FBI interviews—remain missing or redacted, and Jones confirms she has yet to locate her own files. Despite these setbacks, she remains committed to advocating for the victims and demanding that the remaining perpetrators be brought to justice.Read more: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/mar/26/trump-voter-epstein-survivor#jena-lisajones #donaldtrump #jeffreyepstein #justicedepartment #fbi

Epstein case, Paris searches Rothschild Swiss bank headquarters: focus on suspicions regarding Fabrice AidanHis name appears in over 200 documents published online by the U.S. Department of Justice, including emails sent to Jeffrey Epstein between 2010 and 2016 from personal accounts and the United Nations, fueling suspicion that he shared diplomatic documents with the pedophile financier. The focus is on the former French diplomat Fabrice Aidan, a former employee of the Swiss private bank Edmond de Rothschild. The Paris headquarters of the institution was searched by the French financial prosecutor’s office, as part of an investigation linked to the revelations emerging from the documents. Investigators are examining suspicions of corruption involving a foreign public official and complicity concerning Aidan. The investigation was initiated following a report from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and follows the revelations published in the documents on Epstein and subsequent journalistic reporting in France. The case is handled by the Central French Office for the Fight Against Corruption and Financial and Tax Crimes. Aidan emerged as a central figure in the French repercussions of the publication, on January 30, of millions of documents from the U.S. Department of Justice. The French investigative website Mediapart reported that the documents suggested that Aidan had provided confidential material from the United Nations to Epstein. He denied any wrongdoing. yahoo news | 'Flummoxing': Expert flags stunning FBI oversight with Epstein's closest...**Paragraph 1** Legal analyst Lisa Rubin told MS NOW’s Alicia Menendez that the FBI’s handling of Jeffrey Epstein’s inner circle appears seriously lacking. According to Rubin, both Darren Indyke—Epstein’s former attorney and co‑executor—and his accountant Richard Kahn testified before Congress that they had no knowledge of Epstein’s alleged child‑sex‑trafficking crimes. However, the testimony contains glaring gaps, and Rubin points out that at least two victims reported to the FBI that Indy Indyke explicitly instructed them not to speak with law‑enforcement, promising only that a lawyer would be available if they chose to cooperate.**Paragraph 2** Rubin says the pattern of alleged obstruction extends beyond the victims themselves. A former personal chef for Epstein reportedly recounted a similar warning from Indy Indyke: “If somebody tries to approach you with something, do not accept it.” These statements suggest a coordinated effort to silence witnesses at a time when authorities feared Indy Indyke might be served with legal papers. Despite these accusations, the federal investigation has not produced a clear path to accountability.**Paragraph 3** Compounding the confusion, Rubin notes that neither Indy Indyke nor Kahn was ever interviewed by the FBI or the Department of Justice—a fact she describes as “flummoxing.” Without direct questioning of the two men, prosecutors lack crucial evidence to determine whether they committed perjury or helped obstruct the investigation. Rubin concludes that, while the testimonies of victims and close associates hint at a cover‑up, the absence of formal interviews leaves any potential legal repercussions uncertain.Read more: https://www.rawstory.com/epstein-2676615122/#fbi #jeffreyepstein #darrenindyke #congress #departmentofjustice

yahoo news | Princess Eugenie’s Husband Is Reportedly Taking Quiet Steps To Avoid Being ‘Tain...Princess Eugenie’s husband, Jack Brooksbank, is reportedly drawing a firm line to keep the royal‑family scandal involving Jeffrey Epstein away from his own growing business empire. Sources say that, after the renewed focus on Eugenie’s parents—Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson—because of their long‑standing ties to the late pedophile, Brooksbank has refused to “step into the line of fire” and is doing everything he can to prevent the controversy from “tainting” his brand and reputation. The family source added that Sarah Ferguson is currently not moving into Eugenie’s home in Portugal, despite earlier speculation. Instead, she is said to be staying with friend Priscilla Presley after being helped out following the release of the Epstein documents. Media reports suggest Ferguson is “laying low” abroad, including a stint in the United Arab Emirates, to avoid further press attention while the royal family deals with the fallout.Overall, insiders describe the situation as a “sordid affair” that has already drawn unwanted attention to both Eugenie and Brooksbank. While the couple appears to be focusing on keeping a low profile, Brooksbank’s priority remains protecting his business, and the royal family continues to navigate the broader scandal surrounding Prince Andrew’s association with Epstein.Read more: https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/celebrity/articles/princess-eugenie-husband-reportedly-taking-134744253.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall#princesseugenie #jackbrooksbank #jeffreyepstein #princeandrew #royalfamily

qwant news | Jes Staley's wife files for divorce after ex-Barclays exec admitted to affair with Epstein staffer: report by undefinedJes Staley’s wife, Debora Staley, filed a sealed divorce petition in New York on March 13, ending a decades‑long marriage to the former Barclays chief executive. The filing comes barely a year after Staley’s courtroom testimony about his ties to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, during which he admitted to having a consensual sexual encounter with one of Epstein’s staffers. The disclosure, which he described as “open and honest,” raised the specter that his marriage was already “at risk.” Staley, who was previously a senior executive at JPMorgan before leading Barclays, was fined roughly $1.4 million and barred from the UK financial sector last year for downplaying the closeness of his relationship with Epstein. The revelations are part of a broader saga that began with Staley’s long‑standing professional connection to Epstein while at JPMorgan. After Epstein’s victims sued the bank for allegedly profiting from his sex‑trafficking scheme, JPMorgan sued Staley in 2022, accusing him of covering up information that might have led the bank to drop Epstein as a client. The bank settled with both the victims and Staley in 2023. Staley stepped down as Barclays CEO in 2021, and his appeal of the industry ban was rejected when a judge upheld the sanction, noting his mischaracterization of the friendship and his own admission of the affair.Further court documents add detail to the tangled relationship. In 2010 Epstein asked an unidentified woman to purchase a Snow White costume, later joking with Staley about the “fun” of the outfit; Staley later denied recalling any such references. Epstein also emailed Staley’s daughter, Alexa, multiple times, including a 2016 message probing whether her father might be considered for Treasury secretary under the Trump administration—an overture Staley’s team dismissed. These disclosures, alongside the divorce filing, underscore the personal and professional fallout from Staley’s once‑high‑profile ties to Epstein.Read more: https://nypost.com/2026/03/20/business/jes-staleys-wife-files-for-divorce-after-ex-barclays-exec-admitted-to-affair-with-epstein-staffer-report/#jesstaley #barclays #jeffreyepstein #jpmorgan #uk

The ranch, an Old‑West‑themed estate that Epstein visited for about two months each year, is being examined by a New Mexico “truth commission” – the first of its kind in the country – to determine whether the state’s political establishment facilitated his sex‑trafficking network that spanned the U.S. Virgin Islands, New York and Florida.Epstein contributed just over $160,000 to New Mexico campaigns between 2002 and 2014, often becoming the largest outside donor even after his 2008 conviction. Among those linked to him were former Governor Bill Richardson and former attorney general Gary King, both of whom met with Epstein after his felony sex‑crime convictions. King’s campaign returned a 2014 donation, and he later said he never visited the ranch or solicited contributions after the 2013 Florida conviction. Congressman Teresa Leger Fernandez condemned continued acceptance of Epstein’s money, and she has questioned why local, state and federal authorities never investigated complaints of sexual abuse at the ranch despite a 2019 federal directive to drop a child‑trafficking probe. The 7,500‑acre property was bought in 1993 for roughly $3.75 million from the family of three‑times Governor Bruce King, with the younger King later acknowledging the sale. The estate became locally known as the “Victoria’s Secret Ranch,” a place where Epstein allegedly entertained models, scientists, politicians and celebrities. Federal agents visited the ranch in 2007 to question staff about “masseuses” brought in by Epstein, yet state law‑enforcement officials say they were never informed of any federal probe. New Mexico Attorney General Raul Torrez reopened the state investigation in February, while the U.S. Department of Justice and FBI declined to comment.Read more: https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/mexico-investigates-questions-raised-epsteins-100232025.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall#jeffreyepstein #newmexico #zorroranch #billrichardson #fbi

yahoo news | Epstein’s attorney testifies he was unaware of financier’s sexual abuse | Arkans... by undefinedJeffrey Epstein’s longtime personal attorney, Darren Indyke, told a House Oversight Committee on Thursday that he “had no knowledge whatsoever” of the financier’s sexual abuse of under‑age girls while he was representing him. Indyke, who served as Epstein’s lawyer for roughly two decades and is now an executor of Epstein’s estate, said he would have quit the job had he known Epstein was trafficking women and minors. His testimony echoed earlier sworn statements from other Epstein associates—including former accountant Richard Kahn, billionaire Les Wexner and former President Bill Clinton—who also claimed they were unaware of the abuse.Democratic members of the committee expressed frustration, accusing Indyke and Kahn of taking a “defensive” posture and of covering up for Epstein. They pointed to ongoing questions about documents held by Epstein’s estate, including hard‑drive material that private investigators uncovered, and pressed for their release to aid a class‑action settlement that could reach up to $35 million. Republicans, led by Committee Chairman James Comer, pushed back, saying many of the requested items overlap with information already sought from other sources and warned that the hearings were becoming a partisan fight rather than a pursuit of truth. The deposition highlighted the broader political tension surrounding the investigation. While Democrats aim to hold a public hearing with survivors and continue probing the estate’s records, Republicans have accused the panel’s questioning of hyping a false narrative about former President Donald Trump’s involvement. The committee’s efforts to obtain further documentation, including materials related to Virginia Giuffre’s suit against Ghislaine Maxwell, remain stalled amid accusations of “low‑IQ” tactics and a growing divide over how aggressively to pursue accountability for Epstein’s extensive network of associates.Read more: https://www.arkansasonline.com/news/2026/mar/21/epsteins-attorney-testifies-he-was-unaware-of/#jeffreyepstein #darrenindyke #houseoversightcommittee #virginiagiuffre #ghislainemaxwell
