Back when I lived in the Phoenix area, each year there was a contest in the newspaper for who could guess the first 100F day. If I recall correctly, it was usually sometime in early May. The record for earliest 100F day is March 26, 1988.It looks like that record is going to fall, probably on Wednesday. The most extreme heat will be across the Coachella Valley during this time. NBM probabilities show a a moderate to high chance of going over 110 degrees by late next week as well.
