@Wintergr33n I was wondering about that, but I suspect they will not because a military invasion would likely destroy most of the fabs and, if not, would kill trust in Taiwan as a manufacturing centre. I expect China to try to apply a lot of soft pressure on Taiwan and for it to slowly move into the Chinese sphere of influence. Mainland China has a lot more to gain by that than an invasion. With the USA alienating all of their allies, China is well placed to move the world more into a China-centric alignment. Invading Taiwan would prevent this.

Melania Trump is chairing a UN Security Council meeting today as the United States holds the Security Council presidency this month. This comes amid a widening regional war in the Middle East, nuclear powers actively rearming, and escalating global tensions. Critics view the choice as treating global diplomacy as ceremonial rather than substantive—sending a figurehead with no foreign policy experience to chair the world's most important diplomatic body at a moment of extreme crisis.#UNSC #Diplomacy #MelaniaTrump #GlobalPolitics

Just like in BC, the UK is stuck between an ineffectual ruling party riding off of its former progressive policies, and a rising far-right one. That’s when it’s time for the Greens to step in.Bold politics focused squarely on uplifting working people can upend the status quo, defeat the corporate agenda, and deliver a better world.Congratulations to Hannah Spencer and Zack Polanski. Greens across the world are proving that this fight is one we can win. #globalpolitics #greensweep
