Mea culpa. I have pointed out in the past that. Canada's forests, rather than being a CO2 sink are now producing more GHG's than they are "fixing" because of forest fires. But I am wrong, any gases released from a tree burn is just recycled gases taken out of the atmosphere as it grew - basically a zero sum. That which it used to grow is now returned. It's the same idea behind bio-fuels. The culprit in global warming is the amount of carbon collected over hundreds of millions of years released as carbon dioxide over the last 100 years …#environment #GlobalWarming #forestfire
