@Venty @scops @m1rk0 SailfishOS is a mostly proprietary product with worse security than typical Android and iOS devices, and much worse app compatibility, especially in regard to banking apps, etc. It's being developed by a company that has long maintained ties to the Russian government, and has been continuously spreading misinformation about serious privacy/security projects like GrapheneOS.

With all this Google malarkey where they are trying to lockdown their ecosystem, It's making really want to purchase a Fairphone 5 and install @postmarketOS@treehouse

This sounds very tempting, especially as my current daily driver is already a FP5. However, even as I am expecting to already know the answer, is there any possibility to run banking or public transport apps? Or any Android apps at all in some sandbox? Not that I want to, but more that I have to if I want to, well, do money things or take the train.
