I collect #art from time to time. I was fascinated by the story of badass Blanche Wille, a #Chicago #communist social worker who assisted victims of the McCarthy era, and taught herself to compassionately paint the world she knew. The piece headlined in this 2012 article about her appeared at auction recently, and now has a new home.
