    The forecast had a low of 0°C this morning. It actually went down to -2/-3 in the urban stations. I might have brought in some of the little seedlings on the porch if that had been forecast. (I did bring in the tomatoes, they're fine.)

    So, we're definitely not an earlier-than-average last frost this year!

    But at least it didn't snow, and the forecast is back to highs above 18°C and lows above 6°C for the rest of the week (after tonight). Tomatoes will head back outside tomorrow & I can finish transplanting the frost-hardy flower & veg seedlings.

    (ALT for quoted post: screenshots of the linked Tableau interactive chart, showing first/last frost dates for Edmonton Blatchford station since 1880s, with running average line superimposed (1st image) or 25 & 10 percentile lines.)

      @AmeliasBrain
      It looks like the whole week will have evenings that are quite cool.

        @EllenInEdmonton Hmmm, yeah, the neighbourhood-level forecast on my phone app has lows down to 4, so a couple degrees cooler than the Environment Canada one.

        (And if you're looking at a forecast based on airport readings, it will be colder still.)

        I'll have to keep an eye on the numbers for the tomatoes, I guess.
