It's your day!! 🥳 Hope it's going great.
Just waking up here, but I can actually think of 2 questions:
(1) I've wondered why you decided to set your wolf books in the American south. Do you have some attachment or connection to the area?
(2) I see on your website that you're starting to delist from Amazon. I'm pondering that as well & not planning to list any more of my work there. What site do you find best for sales?

I have a small connection to the South, yes.
When I was 11, I spent four weeks in Chapel Hill, and that was an amazing experience. And I participated in two coaching events much later in life, one in Atlanta (where I got to stay with a friend), and one in Asheville. I love Asheville.

I base my major wolf pack in Asheville, although I changed the name to Asheton in the books, just in case someone objects to this.
In fact, I mention some real-life Asheville history in Book 4 (a plan for tearing down the center for a huge mall, which fortunately did not come to pass).
And the Greek restaurant is also real. I had lunch there twice.
Plus, “Wolves of the South” has a nice ring to it, right?

Yeah, I changed my mind on delisting – not giving room to pirates.
Still, I sell fairly well on the Google Play Store, and Draft2Digital is great. In addition, my PayHip store is definitely an indie choice that more and more people like.

I hadn't considered the pirate option. My main reason for not delisting yet was concern about people who bought my ebooks losing access. I did go in and activate the download option after Amazon enabled that, and thought I'd give readers a while to get around to downloading. But the pirate thing ... hmm.

@Firlefanz @crcollins As a resident, I can see how it could play out. The little coves that don’t see many people with a house tucked into the hollow only visible if you know where to look? Common.

Well, pirates might be the wrong word, but it has happened that pirated versions were uploaded to Amazon in lieu of the real version (which was delayed for some reason).
And Amazon did not exactly rush to fix that, either.
So delisting my books would open the door for exactly that scenario. And I honestly do not want to go through that...

Oh, that's awesome to know. I might be able to make use of that in a story eventually.
