@mozilla @firefoxnightly what the actual fuck?

I DISABLED this shit. why the fuck is it showing this for me, when I WENT INTO about:config AND DISABLED EVERY POSSIBLE FEATURE FLAG RELATED TO THIS.

what the actual fuck is going on over there.
I am sorry, but I do not trust you with your fucking "AI kill switch" bullshit if you cannot even INHERIT THE SETTINGS THAT PREVIOUSLY EXISTED

I am sorry, but you are going to kill your fucking browser with all this shit. I don't think I have liked a SINGULAR change that has been made to firefox in the past like year+

do you care about your fucking users, or do you care about some high up lofty investors or some other bullshit?
    which one is it?

@solonovamax @mozilla @firefoxnightly I’ve noticed similar issues in the past on Firefox. My two cents.

@niko tbh I used to use ungoogled chromium but moved over to firefox bc I must prefer to use a browser that is not chromium-based

I despise the fact that chromium (google) holds SO much power over the entire internet

I mean, look at what they're doing with android, closing it off so you need to register with them in order to develop apps.
do you REALLY trust that google won't try to do equally ghoulish shit with the web if they control the majority of it?

@solonovamax google is already the behmoth they could already pull this shit and mozilla nor apple could do anything in reply because google already holds >90% of the browser market

at this point it's "use what actually works well" because the web is fucked to hell and back

@niko I prefer to just use firefox because it works fine for me, minus this bullshit
but like if I want the internet to become freer and for others to move to firefox, it would be kinda odd if I weren't using it myself yk?

and tbh, half the time I have less issues in firefox than in UG because of some of the additional hardening it does which breaks a lot of things that use the canvas (iirc, there could have been other ones too)
I do still keep UG around as a secondary browser for testing things with chromium, however. (and also as a backup browser when I want to quickly open a browser and don't want to incur the cost of waiting for my 1.2k firefox tabs to open)
also not to mention that I've found firefox uses a lot less memory than chromium when you have many tabs open

@lily @niko tbh I might try smth like floorp or whatever as an alternative to just using firefox nightly to get at least some distance between me & mozilla's AI boner
