Any opinions on Humble Bundle, or do they fit neatly under "all the rest" since they have varying fulfillment partners? -

There has been some movement on this. I don't know how relevant it is for you but here are a couple of links:AuthorSHARE: The World’s First Reuse Royalty | World Of Books Blog

So I'm thinking they must cut out the big retailers in some fashion. Regardless, Humble Bundle is charity-focused (good, albeit not directly supporting the literary ecosystem), authors use it gain visibility for their books (good).

Thanks. Also, not yours, but I did notice a nonfiction 'solarpunk book of shadows' in their current "Protest power Zines and lit" bundle. It caught my eye, it would not have before I'd heard of solarpunk from you.

Ah, yes, they've got Justine Norton-Kersten's book (she's editor of Solarpunk Magazine)!
That's a kickass bundle

@susankayequinn @evilotto I noticed recently, though, that the default settings are only 5% to charity and 50% to HB, and if you customize the ratios, the HB share can't be lowered below 40% anymore.

https://susankayequinn.com/how-to-buy-sues-books-a-guide-to-retailersI like Kobo. Long time user. I got started with them because my local bookstore contracted with them for ebooks. I made an account that linked them. Is that no longer a thing? I’ll have to investigate.

@CptSuperlative I think a lot of local bookstores tried to set up something like what you describe... and that may still be something, but I vaguely recall someone else saying that Kobo no longer supports that. but bookshop does! So yes, check it out...
