Just wondering, I don't really know the original series. Is there an episode of #StarTrek TOS where Chekov hides a phaser sometime early in the episode and then uses it later? #TV

In season 3, episode 6, Chekov finds himself carrying a gun in act 1 but is shot and killed when he reaches for it. This becomes an important plot point in act 3.
