        @ielenia I think this applies to a lot, actually; the US is very large, esp compared to the individual eurpoean countries

          that's about the distance from Lisbon to Warsaw

                    @ielenia You can't get a train from lisbon to warsaw BTW (the only remaining international connection I know of is Porto-Vigo)
