I didn't learn how to make my own PCBs by cracking open "The Art of Electronics" and reading it cover to cover. I did it by cribbing schematics off of other people so I could make LEDs blink.

@AmyZenunim i have no clue how FETs still work (electron magic), BJTs barely, but i have fun making shit that uses them
none of it is critical to anything, but i still learn by *doing* it, books of pure theory and edge cases are impenetrable to me -
