@fiore i dont know what to do userland-wise tbh. there is no userland that particularly speaks to me. i guess the same one as chimera bc i prefer -G over --color=always cause it lets me alias la = ls -FAG

@LivingCooki@void.lgbt listing all them would take too long but some basic guidelines are:

                • Free as in Freedom (from any gnu software)
                • wayland
                • generally tries to improve upon the tried and tired linux defaults we have been stuck with for 15 years

@fiore I read somewhere on the wiki that gnu utils are like the one thing Gentoo kinda depends on. I have considered switching to musl tho, but I haven't done it yet

I do use Wayland yes. Still have an X11 boot option but I've already considered getting rid of it because I never use it

                  And uhh I use OpenRC

@LivingCooki@void.lgbt musl is better than glibc , and is acceptable .. "good" is like .. apparently an impossible thing for a linux libc to be

@fiore hey, the kernel is theoretically even posix compliant.
and teams breaks my soundcard sometimes.
windows today feels like linux back in the days, when things just brake when looked wrongly at.
