It was the only fear I had in his first term that Trump didn't bring to fruition. It seemed then that he was an isolationist.

@Professor_Stevens @mmiasma I think it was more that he was surrounded in the first term by grown-ups who restrained him from indulging his worst instincts. Now all those grown-ups are gone, so he is speed-running the list of foreign policy mistakes he wanted to make back then
