Is it me alone or are other people seeing EXTREMELY slow typing response (I just timed - the word 'response' took just over 3 seconds to display and catch up with my typing) in Mastodon - standard desktop web?

Is it me alone or are other people seeing EXTREMELY slow typing response (I just timed - the word 'response' took just over 3 seconds to display and catch up with my typing) in Mastodon - standard desktop web?
I have a 10-core Mac Studio with 32GB RAM and with only Mastodon open in Safari (no other tabs or windows) it's taking ~140% CPU. Latest OS.
What the hell is this?

@blakespot I find this happens in WebKit browsers when they've memory-leaked their way into the multi-GB RAM usage. Check memory on Safari. (Mine is at 19.7 GB right now according to iStat Menus). Restarting Safari (or Orion) ususally fixes it.
