By far the info I miss the most in people's profiles here on Mastodon is your location.
All too often, I see people post something related to their specific countries with zero indication where they are from.
You know where you are from, but unless you tell us, your fellow Mastodonians don't, and your post makes no sense.
No one needs your home address, but to most people it is safe to write at least your country on your profile page.
@randahl fixed :). Thank you for bringing this to our attention!

@randahl for me personally the political position of a person is important - mainly not right wing extremist, not racist, not misogynist - their rough location like continent is nice to know. Somebody who moves often would have update their loc. frequently - but how would that change their contend?

@randahl once there was a small project called fedikarte.

@fuerchtegott I'm pretty sure someone "revived" the project. And I put myself in again. *searching... ...* The link should still work

Yes, I’ve said this several times. City would nice. Sometimes it’s hard to figure out what someone is saying without it.

@caravantraveller @r4f4l @randahl People use flags or symbols to indicate affiliation is a variety of ways.
So, are you in Kansas or Land of Oz? -

@randahl @jurjen_heeck thanks for the reminder, I did! (Found out on our last cycling tour that almost no one recognizes the Dutch flag outside of the Netherlands so that probably isn’t enough)
