@Geri isn’t it for the tiny section of the population that likes to go “oh Britain does this so much better than anywhere else”?
I’m sure Britain does Royal funerals best too. But we should do more. So we don’t get out of practice.

@Geri I'm in the republic of France on holiday wondering why we ever restored the monarchy in the 17th century. I know our republic was a bit of a shambles held together by one ruthless dictator, not unlike early French republics a century later, but they persevered with the idea and finally got it pretty much right whereas our ancestors just gave up and invited Charles II to take over.
